THE NEW EDITION OF ISO 9001 STANDARD IS UPON US (second half of 2026)

The revision process of ISO 9001 Standard enters its decisive phase: on 27 August 2025 the Draft International Standard (DIS) was published, and the definitive version (ISO 9001:2026) is expected to be released in the second half of 2026.
Among the main innovations there are: a strengthening of attention to the culture of quality, ethical leadership, the integration of requirements related to climate change (aligned with the 2024 ISO amendments), and a greater focus on risk and opportunity management.
The new edition aims to be able to reach an ever-increasing number of organizations as well as integrate continuous improvement into business processes, greater operational efficiency (better operation and waste reduction), and growing customer trust and satisfaction.
